  1. New-Type vs. Old-Type Feeders: Samsung updated the SM feeder design mid-production. "New type" feeders (identifiable by the latch mechanism) are compatible with SM421 and later. Always confirm the feeder generation when ordering for SM310/SM321.
  2. 8x2mm vs. 8x4mm: These refer to the component pitch within the 8mm tape. Most SM series machines support both, but verify your tape specification before ordering.
  3. 0201 Orange Feeder: The special 8mm 0201 orange feeder is designed specifically for ultra-small 0201 components. It is compatible with SM320, SM321, SM421, SM471, SM481, and SM482.
